Processwork Institute Lithuania is affiliated with the International Association of Process-Oriented Psychology and offers a study path in cooperation with Deep Democracy Institute International leading to a dual Diploma in Process-Oriented Psychology (Processwork Diploma) from Processwork Institute Lithuania and Deep Democracy Institute International.
The study path is divided into two phases. While there are formal requirements, the journey is also flexible and deeply personal, guided by each student’s unique dreaming process as explored in collaboration with their coach.
In this initial phase, students acquire a foundational understanding of Processwork theory and practical methods for applying its principles in work with individuals, relationships, and groups.
Each student works closely with a coach to explore their personal process and dreaming path related to studying Processwork. Students are expected to attend seminars and workshops and engage in individual sessions with their coach as part of their learning journey.
Phase I culminates in the completion of seven outlook points, which reflect competency in the following areas:
Processwork Theory and Practice
Bodywork, Process-Oriented Movement, and Nonverbal Communication
Working with Dreams
Inner Work
Group Work
Relationship Work
Altered and Extreme States
Upon completion of the outlook points, students move into the second phase of study.
In Phase II, students continue to work with their coach and are supported by two additional members of a guiding team, chosen by the student. This team helps maintain alignment with the student’s personal dreaming path and learning process.
Students deepen their learning through participation in seminars offered by the Processwork Institute Lithuania, Deep Democracy Institute International (DDI International), DDI Alliance, and other Processwork schools worldwide. The details of these learning activities are discussed and aligned with the student’s coach and guiding team.
A key aspect of Phase II is supervised work with clients, allowing students to develop their skills in real-life practice.
As part of the completion requirements, students undertake a Diploma Project based on their area of interest and professional practice. This project may take the form of a written thesis or a creative expression such as a performance, exhibition, film, or other formats.
The final step in Phase II is passing the Diploma Exams, which assess competencies in the following seven areas:
Inner Work
Unspecified Client Work
Bodywork
Relationship Work
Altered and Extreme States
Group Work
Working on Your Own Conflict in a Relationship
These practical exams are designed to be both rigorous and inspiring, serving as a meaningful rite of passage. They may be completed live or through video-recorded sessions.
Each exam is conducted as a session with two examiners. Students are invited to demonstrate and articulate the skills and metaskills they have developed throughout their studies. They must also show how these capacities benefit the people and groups they work with and support their own inner wellbeing and centeredness.
If you have already participated in open Processwork seminars and feel ready to take the next step toward becoming a formal Processwork student, you are welcome to express your interest by emailing us at processworkinstitutelt@gmail.com.
At the same time, it is helpful to begin looking for a Processwork coach. Together with your coach, you can explore and gain orientation around the dreaming process that has brought you to this path and will lead you further.
